The convenient, multipart ALS Pathways Patient Podcast Series covers a range of ALS topics, from the science behind ALS to tips on managing and monitoring symptoms. There’s also useful information to help inform caregivers and loved ones for what’s ahead.

Patients can stream or download these free audio files using their smartphones, tablet devices, or desktop computers. Each episode varies in length. Podcasts are a great way for patients to receive practical information at home, on the go, or wherever it’s most convenient.

The ALSFRS-R scale
The ALSFRS-R scale is a validated questionnaire-based instrument for evaluating a patient’s physical function in performing activities of daily living (ADLs).1 Today, the ALSFRS-R scale is a widely used test in clinical trials to monitor ALS and is considered the gold standard measure for tracking disability progression.2,3
